Safeguard is a successful Alton-based supplier of hygiene products, protective clothing, packaging and consumables supplies to both the manufacturing and industrial sectors. The company has bought out Davidson Hygiene Ltd - based in Waterlooville, Hampshire - which is a leading supplier of paper-based hygiene cleaning solutions for the agricultural and commercial/office sectors. The two companies are a perfect fit as both operate in the same product areas but target distinctly different sectors. A strong range of branded solutions for a wide range of factory and office needs will create a strong platform for further growth in this sector. The combined operation will immediately change its name to Consumables Solutions Ltd which reflects the company’s core operation and its larger size. The Safeguard and Davidson names will remain as the brand names for the two key products and solutions provided by the company. Davidson is a well known and respected brand in the agricultural sector and Safeguard’s managed stock system is the preferred way of delivery for many of the company’s larger clients who have require a closely monitored on-site stock delivery solution. |
